Biographical • Grew up in South Jordan, UT, a suburb of Salt Lake City on the family ranch. When he was young, his father, Stuart, rodeoed. The family business revolved around boarding horses and raising steers and pigs on their property. Kevin remembers helping with the animals as a kid, feeding them, cleaning out the stalls and chopping the ice out of the water troughs in the early morning. "I used to get up at 5:30 in the morning and do my chores for like $1.50. My dad was a real-life cowboy. He stopped riding in the rodeo when he shattered his leg in 20 places. When he retires he'll get back into the ranch life. I love going to rodeos because that's what I was raised around. I just picked a different path in life."
Personal • Resides in both Salt Lake City, UT, and Las Vegas, NV
• His father, Stuart, is a mortgage banker for Country Wide after having sold and developed much of the family's farmland. His mother, Mary Jean, works at a local gym, but also taught guitar lessons when he was a child. Kevin credits his love for music to her

His brother, Shaun, is currently serving an LDS Mission in Ecuador. His brother, Lex, works for Sky West Airlines and is an avid marathon runner who competes about 12 times a year.
